We came up with these cute little interactive speakers while building out the visitor’s center at Frenchman Bay Conservancy. Designed to tuck discreetly into walls, these small boxes house a 3 watt speaker, proximity sensor, and microcontroller. This combo allows a range of uses including looping/randomized ambient sounds, motion/proximity activation, and more. The standardized j-box housing is easy to install and the cloud-based content management system allows you to update sounds and settings from any computer.
