Since 2009, Perch has worked with The Association for Convenience & Retailing on a series of web-based data browsing tools, updated yearly to reflect the most recent information.
Each year, NACS surveys convenience store customers across the country and provides access to the purchasing trends uncovered. The results represent an excellent snapshot of consumer habits in America, but are almost unapproachable in their raw form, buried within a massive (“big”) data set.
Perch was tasked to create, update, and maintain an intuitive and dynamic web-based tool for querying and browsing the survey results, filtered by retailer, purchase type, and demographics. The interface has evolved over time, constantly adapting to the ever-changing web. Users have the ability to compare multiple queries simultaneously, e.g. comparing a “soda” customer’s satisfaction with the store vs. a “chips” customer’s satisfaction.
Using an extrapolation of the existing NACS brand, Perch designed and developed a full-featured data browsing tool, tailored to the survey structure and common user queries.
